ourclimateischanging.com is a web-based multimedia resource commissioned by Three Rivers District Council and designed to educate and inform the community about climate change and related issues. The site features a wealth of information, photography, links and 'Flash' animation and is managed using a comprehensive custom CMS.
Big Time Pictures digital department also developed the 'Adult Free Zone' youth section for the site to help children and teenagers learn about looking after the environment. Adult Free Zone features a host of interactive features including games, fun facts, chat etc.
The addictive flash based 'RIC the Robot' game, teaches youngsters which household items can be recycled as they attempt to beat the clock (and their friends) by correctly identifying the correct items to be placed in which recycling bin. The 'Randomiser 3000', generates fun fact after fact about the environment and climate change, while the 'chatter' page offers children their very own forum for news, views and ideas.
The 'Our Climate is Changing' website was honoured in The Green Organisation's 2010 Green Apple Awards, winning regional Gold for our client, Three Rivers District Council. The Green apple awards are presented annually in recognition of companies, councils and communities carrying out projects that enhance environment.
